About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

6dp3dt - Squinter

Happy Valentine's Day!! I was super hoping for a nice positive test. Instead, it was 99% negative. I say 99% because if you blow up the inverted pic below you can see a shadow of where the pregnant line is. So maybe I still have like 3 or 4 HCG still in my system from that damn trigger. I know 6dp3dt is super early to get a BFP. I'm still holding onto a shred of hope for tomorrow or Sunday's test. In the meantime I refused to wear any fat pants to work (I've been neurotic about not having tight things on my uterus), but I said 'screw it' today and wore some skinny jeans to work. I pray all of my negativity is proven wrong over the next 3 days. But if not, at least I'm prepared.

Days Past
Transfer (DPT)
Embryo Development
OneThe embryo continues to grow and develop, turning from a 6-8 cell embryo into a morula
TwoThe cells of the morula continue to divide, developing into a blastocyst
ThreeThe blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell
FourThe blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus
FiveThe blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation
SixImplantation continues
SevenImplantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop
EightHuman chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream
NineFetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
TenFetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
ElevenLevels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy

Trigger/POAS update:  Okay, yesterday I lied. I got home from work and the trigger line WAS there from yesterday's test. Today's is 99% negative (as I said above, I say 99% because if you blow up the inverted pic below you can see a shadow of where the pregnant line is). So the trigger is ESSENTIALLY out.

Symptoms: ABSOLUTELY NONE. Not only do I feel nothing I feel soooooo NORMAL. By now with my pregnancy with Victor I was already having several symptoms. :(

PM update...heart palpitations.  Flutters near the uterus...could it be gas?  Maybe a tiny bit of acne on chest.   Flutters in the uterus (or gas).  Also testing with a FRER at 5pm.....Still the TRIGGER?????   Please let it be a real BFP!!!!!

  1. EVERY pregnancy is different!!! Also we never tested before 7dp3dt since it's pointless. Even with a 5dt we never got a bfp until EVENING of 5dp5dt with the exception of this current TWIN pregnancy, so don't count those little embryos out! Give it a couple more days... Hang in there and big HUGS and sticky vibes sent your way!
