About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

Nothing much to report today.  I swear I had ONE small pinch in my uterus last night in the middle of the night.  It happened and then it was gone.  I have been praying it comes back all night/day long.  Implant my babies, implant!!!    I already gave them names (for Mom's ears only) and I talk to them.  I cheer them on tell them that I know they can do this!  I pray to God more now than ever.

Days Past
Transfer (DPT)
Embryo Development
OneThe embryo continues to grow and develop, turning from a 6-8 cell embryo into a morula
TwoThe cells of the morula continue to divide, developing into a blastocyst
ThreeThe blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell
FourThe blastocyst continues to hatch out of its shell and begins to attach itself to the uterus
FiveThe blastocyst attaches deeper into the uterine lining, beginning implantation
SixImplantation continues
SevenImplantation is complete, cells that will eventually become the placenta and fetus have begun to develop
EightHuman chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) starts to enter the blood stream
NineFetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
TenFetal development continues and hCG continues to be secreted
ElevenLevels of hCG are now high enough to detect a pregnancy

Trigger update:  The trigger is finally barely registering in my system 9 days post trigger (bottom stick).  I am hoping tomorrow it will be GONE gone.

Symptoms: Nothing today.  Maybe a small pinch in my uterus last night?

  2. I can't even imagine how hard this is for you and Mike-I know it took some time but IVF was successful and now you have a sweet little boy. Even if this isn't the cycle, pretty soon you will be pregnant again-I'm rooting for you girl!
