About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

5w5d

Things are going well still!  I may not blog every day.  Sometimes there aren't any symptoms to even report!   Today I feel good.  I actually miscalculated my due date by 1 day.   I think it is 11/8.  That's my mother in law's birthday!   Though, with a scheduled c-section, baby Schloss will most likely be born on 11/1 (39 weeks).  :)  The sooner he/she is out and in my arms the better!

Our first ultrasound is THIS WEDNESDAY!   3/16!!  I'll be 6w1d.  I should see a little HB by then.  So excited!!!

Update: started spotting again in the evening.  It's brown but still unnerving!!!

  1. You may have a suchorionic hematoma. I'm telling you this because I had brown spotting with both pregnancy and eventually I had a very large bleed with clotting. The baby was fine both times, but I just want you to be aware, that even if you bleed it doesn't mean that it's bad.

    1. Thanks Lauren!! I'm sure the lovenox, baby aspirin, fish oil, and wobenzym aren't helping the matters either! (all blood thinners)

  2. Oh wow, yeah that probably isn't helping. They put me on baby aspirin with this pregnancy to help ward off pre-eclampsia. I know how unnerving it is to see any color spotting though, I was so stressed out the entire time...hopefully you're not letting it bother you too much.

  4. I had spotting at 5w5d and 6w2d with both of mine. I know it's so very scary but just take it easy and hopefully Wednesday will be here super fast!
