- Lauree and Mike
- After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

8w3d - Lovenox win!
Babies are good - at least I pray they are! Haven't peeked at them since Tuesday (aka 3 days ago). Man o man time is going slowly! Anyways, I met with my new hematologist today. I came armed with all kinds of lists of tests I thought I needed. I informed him I was heterozygous for the MTHFR c677t mutation as well as heterozygous for the PAI-1 polymorphism mutation. He basically said that neither caused miscarriage. Period. He was adamant. Said everything has been debunked. However, he DID say that anti phospholipid syndrome does cause first trimester miscarriages. However, I don't have that (at least I didn't in 2014 when I was last tested). But because I'm already on lovenox, testing again wouldn't show results. Soooooo, he said that with my past miscarriages, why not at last try lovenox? Amen!!!! He said the dose I'm on is a baby dose and is essentially harmless. I'm not going to all of a sudden start bleeding out - depicted by my sadly uninformed OB. So yay! Lovenox the whole pregnancy! So so so so happy I found a doctor willing to help me!!!!!!
