Had an ultrasound today! Both babies were wiggling around!!
Baby A: 168bpm 10w2d
Baby B: 174bpm 10w1d
Small hematoma by baby A. The tech said it was really small and didn't seem concerned. I'm on lovenox (and anticoagulant) and baby aspirin (a thinner) so now I'm worried I should stop those. Google is torn on the subject. Some OB's take their patients off of blood thinners until the hematoma starts healing. Some OB's actually put their patient ON blood thinners when they get SCH (sub chorionic hematomas) to prevent clots in the hematoma near the placenta! OMG I'm so torn now. My OB wasn't in and she'll review the report tomorrow. I'm 100% sure she'll want me off the blood thinners. I'm just going to pray my little butt off and trust in God. That's all I can do! :)
Without further ado, my sono photos!
Side by side splitscreen of both babies!

I haven't! I'll have to check it out!
DeleteI know I mentioned this before, but I had SCH's with both of my pregnancies, it's super unnerving to have the brown spotting and at some point you may have a big bleed or 2...but just know that these often resolve, either by bleeding out or reabsorbing into the body...it's all going to be alright! I'm so glad these little babies are healthy and growing!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you did but my memory is like a sive so I appreciate you telling me again!!!!!
DeleteI had a large SCH with my son, and my R.E. kept me on my baby aspirin and Lovenox (40mg 2x/day). I just was told to take it easy. I wasn't on bed rest, but had to avoid certain activities like vacuuming. And of course pelvic rest. I bled mine out with a big bleed (lasted an hour) and several weeks of sporadic spottjng, and it was gone by 18 weeks. I didn't hemorrhage or anything from the blood thinners like a lot of answers from "Dr. Google" will say. Not sure if this helps or not, but thought I'd share my experience.
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you thank you for posting! It DEFINITELY HELPS!!! I felt so bad taking my baby aspirin last night because 50% of the Internet says to stop it. But after reading your post I'm glad I did!! Thank you again!!!!
DeleteMy midwife told me that most resolve by 20 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI read around then as well. Something about the baby is finally big enough to put pressure on the bleed to make it stop. Maybe I'll be sooner since there is less room in there with two??
DeleteBeautiful 3D photos Lauree! I am so happy your twins are doing great! SCH do resolve by 20 weeks. I hope your Ob lets you continue with the lovenox and BA because this protocol is working for you. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteThey are just beautiful!!! Congratulations... This is for sure happening! What a double blessing! Not sure on the lovenox... Such a tough call, pray about it and listen to your mommy gut... And the Holy Spirit! :)
ReplyDeleteMy mommy gut says to still take it!!!!!!!!! <3 how are you doing? heading over to your blog now to check for any updates!!
DeleteI hadon't a "minor uterine hemorrhage" with Jaxon that resolved in it's own. Your dose is fairly low (therapeutic.) What did your OB say when you got to talk finally?
ReplyDeleteThose babies are beautiful.
OB said to stop lovenox (which I was 100% sure she would). I asked my lovenox group and they ALL said to stay on both that the risk of a clot is greater than the risk of a bleed. http://community.babycenter.com/post/a62295361/sch-hematoma-on-baby-aspirin-and-lovenox?cpg=1#c2528974075
DeleteAre you still using the Wobenzyme N? My MFM had told me to discontinue when taking blood thinners as Wobenzyme also thins the blood. I have been using it for 6 months for joint pain but I have bruises on my arms and legs. I take BA for mthfr also.
ReplyDeleteI actually am on wobenzym n still too. Only 3 pills twice a day though (never got up to 3 pills four times a day like the bottle said to). I see an MFM for the first time this week so we'll see if he even knows what wobenzym n is. Probably won't even know!
DeleteHe might. My MFM said she took it for her joint pain too.
