About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

39w6d - One day left...

...until my due date.  I just kinda always thought I would have had him by now.  It's surreal.

Reflecting....

I've been pregnant almost this entire year.  The transfer was on January 12th.  The embryos (yes, don't forget Victor could have had a twin) were 5 days old when they were transferred.  So that is equivalent to me conceiving on January 7th.  So really, I've been pregnant for the entire year exact 1 week.  Man humans take a long time to gestate!

Victor was actually conceived on July 23rd, 2011.  He was cryogenically frozen between July 28th, 2011 and January 12th, 2012.   He was 1 of 7 live embryos we created.  May the other 6 know I will  never forget about them as they were his siblings, even if only for a few days.

Here's a little reminder of the chart they gave us way back in February (around 7 weeks).
