About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

31w0d - Weekly update

(Weight: four navel oranges. Length: over 16 inches, head to heel.)

How Far Along: 31 weeks!!!  Only 6 more weeks until full term and 9 until due date!

Gender: BOY!!!!!!

Size of baby (from babycenter.com): This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt.

My baby this week (from babycenter.com):   He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

Stretch Marks: Yes.  And it's crazy in how just a few weeks they have gotten worse.  I now have several dark pink ones on either side of my lower belly.  Anything for Victor though!

Sleep: I'm down to a routine now pretty much.  Up twice each night.  Not too bad.  My trick is to never ever look at the clock.

Best Moment of the Week:  Thursday was pretty awesome because he was going crazy in there.  Kicking.  Punching.  Whatever he was doing was nuts but I loved every second of it!

Movement: Oh yes.  I can feel him rolling around in there now.  I can even SEE him making huge movements from the outside too.

Food cravings:  We keep buying "All Natural" cheetos and I keep consuming them.  I can't stop.

What I Miss:   Being able to sit up from a lying position without having to roll to get momentum.

What I'm Looking Forward To:  August is going to fly by.  We have 6 class and 3 OB appointments in it!

Milestones: Single digit weeks until my due date!!!

Emotions:  Poor Mike.  I get more and more fun to be around each day.  (That was sarcasm.)

Symptoms:  Starting to get tired again pretty early in the day.
