About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

40w4d - Infertility irony

Soooo, the irony of still being pregnant... I tried for 4 years to get pregnant and now I am trying everything I can think of to get unpregnant and have this baby already!   I had acupuncture yesterday to try and induce labor.  I had a few more braxton hicks than normal last night and even a few cramps.  But I am still pregnant as of today so I don't think the acupuncture worked.  :(

  1. I stumbled upon your blog googling 6dp5dt spotting, and I have to say you are giving me hope. When I read your blog, it was like reading a journal of my own life. After the testing, and surgeries, iui's, the 30th birthday devastations, the fresh ivf transfers, we are now on our first FET transfer, and I was disappointed having started to spot yesterday (figuring it was too late to have implantation bleeding). After reading your story, I now have hope to follow in your footsteps. I hope you deliver soon and I wish you and your husband the best of luck. Libras are totally worth the wait! Thanks for posting.

My first beta is next Friday....my 31st birthday. Here's hoping.

  2. Your son is gorgeous, you must be thrilled! I hope you all continue to do well. I got my big fat positive! But I am really concerned about my hcg levels. I have 3 so far, done every two days, they were 90, 124 and today 229. Going up but not rapidly.
