About Us

My photo
After an 8 year battle with infertility and countless struggles, our family is finally complete. This blog chronicles the journey it took for us to start and build the family we always wanted. Background on the blog (started in 2012, just days before I found out the embryo transfer for our son worked).... I decided to start a blog after realizing I have only been able to make it through my TWW's (two week waits) with the help of Google and with the openness of other women suffering from infertility sharing their own stories and giving others hope. I have time and time again found my exact symptoms on other women's blogs and felt an overwhelming sense of calmness they provided me. I thought it was time to pay it forward and hopefully provide this same thing to other women on their own journeys.

19w0d - Weekly update!!

HALF WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Half way for me anyways!  The will do a csection at 38 weeks so I'm officially half way!!!!!!!    The OB's office called and they want me to do a follow-up anatomy scan on 6/22 - they weren't able to get the right angles to view certain things they wanted to view.   So I get to see my peanuts in a little over a week again!

Babies this week:
  • At about 6.0 inches long and weighing in at about 8.5 ounces, baby's getting there!
  • Developing a protective coating over the skin, called vernix caseosa. It's greasy and white and you may see some of it at birth.
  • Working on baby's five senses. Nerve cells for sense of taste, hearing, sight and smell are developing in baby's brain.

Two of these growing in there!

What they look like this week:

  1. Just checking in! Sorry I've been MIA! Congrats on making it halfway!! If you make it to 38 weeks though, I will be beyond impressed! ;) I only made it to 35 and 1 day! The boys needed no breathing help Either! I hope you can make it to 36, that was my goal!! Sorry about the rash!! Have you tried eliminating foods? Dairy, wheat, nuts, gluten? Try whole 30! It's super healthy and okay to do even while pregnant! I will post an update soon! Glad you and the babes are doing so well! ❤️😘

    2. I was just thinking about you! I checked your blog and no new updates! How are you enjoying summer?

AFM... I already am gluten and dairy free, I do eat lots of nuts, but always have. I really really think it has to be something from the outside. Anytime I'm outside it gets worse. Sun? Pollen? Who knows!

I hope I go around 36 weeks as well. I feel since my body is attacking itself between the psoriasis, hives, you name it...the babies would be safer out than in!!!
